ABOUT USMr. Crumb was founded in 1996 by Bernard Coyle, the current Chairman. He was working as a salesman for a major bakery when he noticed a gap in the market for fresh breadcrumbs as an ingredient for stuffings, puddings, bread sauce etc. He decided to take a chance and go out on his own. Having initial difficulty getting the products listed with the retailers he decided to move up the value chain and make the actual stuffing. The rest is history. Mr. Crumb has taken a market sector which was declining by more than 20% per annum and reversed the trend creating over 25% market growth per annum. The company itself has maintained continuous year on year growth of over 35% per annum. Mr. Crumb is a rural enterprise whose products are now listed all year round in the Irish and UK supermarket chains. We have won various awards including “Irish Small Business of the Year”, Small Firms Association 2005 and “Outstanding Irish Business”, Checkout Magazine 2004. From our humble beginnings the company has now grown into a multi million euro turnover company which supplies much more than breadcrumbs and stuffings. Our product range now includes crust toppings and melts, desserts, party foods and bespoke speciality foods. All our products are handmade using the US style concept of chefs cooking, and our foods are cooked in small batches in our state of the art kitchen, using high quality ingredients.
